About Me

I am a qualified Counsellor.

I have a Certificate and Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (person-centred) via ABC. I have since completed further training on working with trauma, couples counselling, and continue to update and refresh my learning about different approaches and different presenting issues. I am committed to continued professional development: learning never stops as every client is unique and will benefit from different responses.

I am a registered member of the BACP (one of the professional membership organisations) and the Person Centred Association. The BACP offers an Ethical Framework that I adhere to and offers information to both client and practitioner, as well as a complaints procedure.

The PCA offers leadership and development in the current thinking around the person-centred approach, as well as an introductory guide to this approach. I also have a DBS certificate.

Outside of my workplace I am a mother of four adult sons. Yorkshire born, I spent my childhood in London and Brussels and have lived in Brentford for the past twenty years. My leisure time is spent reading, writing, getting out into green spaces and following Brentford FC.
