Fees

Fees are £60 per session, payable after each session via bank transfer. Each session lasts 50 minutes and I ask clients to commit to a weekly session which will take place at a mutually agreed weekday and time.

Please be ready for your session a few minutes beforehand. If you are late then it still ends on time and you are still charged the full amount.

A limited number of concessionary rates are available. Please ask for details.

Low Cost Counselling

If this is not within your budget then I would recommend low cost counselling at Phoenix Counselling where many counsellors, including myself offer unlimited sessions at a low rate. Sadly therapy requires a financial commitment not available to all. Searching online for low cost counselling will bring up other options. Many private counsellors will offer a certain number of discounted sessions.

Confidentiality

Everything we say from first contact to sessions is kept confidential, as part of my ethical responsibility to you. You are of course free to share as you please. However if I think there is imminent risk of harm to yourself or others I may need to break confidentiality but I would hope to discuss it with you first. Please also see Privacy.

Sessions

You may find a short number of sessions beneficial or you may prefer open-ended counselling. It’s up to you and what your needs are.

Absences, including holidays and sickness, if notified at least 48 hours prior to the session will not be charged for. Less than 48 hours notice will incur a 50% cost of £30.

Location

Sessions are conducted either face to face in Ealing or online using Zoom or via telephone, as preferred.

Face to face is traditionally regarded as best but if you have mobility or scheduling issues, let alone a variety of other reasons then you might benefit from online.

You can try Zoom and telephone and then choose between them. They both have advantages and disadvantages but it mostly comes down to personal preference and technical ability.

Hybrid arrangements can also be beneficial if, for example, you can do face-to-face in term time but not in school holidays. Please discuss.

I have professional liability insurance.
